Preparing Your Trip to

Having a good Hong Kong Disneyland planner, it will save you a lot of time, money and frustration although it has a longer opening hours compared to Ocean Park Hong Kong.

Heading to the main entrance of Hong Kong Disneyland where you need to have your bag(s) checked.  Any bottle of water could be confiscated from here.

Best Time to Visit

From small children to adults, Disneyland is a dream come true to everybody.  So, everyone wants to go there.  So, plan on at least a full-day trip even though it is a very small theme park compared to any Disneyland in the world. Try to go during the weekdays to avoid super big crowd and use less time in lining up.

Visiting during Hong Kong Disneyland fall and winter time would be the best because you will spend a lot of time lining up outdoor.  But it doesn't mean that you should skip it while you have your Hong Kong vacation in different seasons.

Hong Kong Disneyland Planner for Families with Children

For family having toddler(s), it may take more than a day to visit all the Hong Kong Disneyland attractions (coming soon - link to Hong Kong Disneyland Attractions page).

Also, if you have a toddler or baby with you, consider if you may need a stroller along the way. If so, you MUST pick it up at the entrance. You can't pick it up somewhere in the middle of the park. Of course, every time before stepping into an attraction, you MUST leave it outside. You could easily forget about it. My personal experience was that it's better to have one. You will need it.

For a family with children 40" or above and 6-7 of age or older can finish most of the attractions within a day or 12 hours.

We were very glad that we brought along a back pack and an umbrella stroller with us throughout the trip.  Both came in handy.

What to Bring?

Bring a lot of cash with you because your bottle of water may be confiscated before stepping into the theme park. The probability for you to stop and grab some snack and drink is very high.

Bring extra batteries, not the rechargeable ones, and extra SD card with big memories. I can guarantee you that your camera will be non-stop. Even though you have a smart phone, it will not be enough. My sister's got the memory filled before the day was over.

Also, a back pack would be very helpful in case you buy anything like pictures so that you don't have several small bags with you while you are enjoying yourself in different attractions.

Waiting...Lining Up....In Hong Kong Disneyland

Literally, all attractions you step in, they will take at least one picture of you in order to sell you the package. Make your decision quick.

To pay for the special picture is one thing. But lining up to pick the best pictures and line up again to pay for it, it kills a lot of your time.

Everything in Disneyland Hong Kong takes at least 20-30 minutes to line up. Occasionally, there are a few attractions (coming soon - link to Hong Kong Disneyland Attractions page) just taking you 5-10 minutes of waiting. But in our last visit, it didn't happen very often.

Like Ocean Park Hong Kong, Disneyland also puts up a sign to tell you how long it will take for you to wait where the line begins. It is pretty accurate, sometimes understated.

No matter which theme park you are in, expect that people don't follow directions and like to elbow you to get their places, my experience told me that Disneyland Hong Kong is a little bit worse than the other.

The Parade was awesome.  To get the best spot, get there 30 minutes before it starts.  That's why you need a Hong Kong Disneyland planner.  People may try to get in front of you which could happen anywhere.

Maybe-To-Do List Before Your Trip

If you can have a big meal before heading into the theme park, it will not only save you a lot of time, but also money buying expensive meals in Disneyland. Otherwise, you may need to stop for 1-2 meals.

If you plan on taking the Disneyland Hong Kong MTR train, it would be better off to do it when you are heading to the theme park. 'Cos you don't know if you would stay until the closing of the park when the MTR also closes at that time.

The MTR station in Hong Kong Disneyland.  It goes with the theme of the park, so as the train.  We didn't have enough time to catch one.  Hopefully, we can do so next time.

There is only a flat fee for parking. It doesn't matter how long you park.

A good Hong Kong Disneyland planner is important mainly because you will spend a lot of time waiting in line in the park. So, get yourselves well prepared.
